Multan Customs impounds NDP BMW near Lodhran

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) l impounded a non-custom paid BMW vehicle worth Rs5.5m.

Sources told that ASO received information that a foreign origin vehicle parked in a ghee mill situated in Lodhran. Customs teams decided to raid the ghee mill to impounded non-duty vehicle.

Multan Customs Anti-smuggling Organization raided the ghee mill and recovered a non-duty paid smuggled BMW 7 series model 2007 white color .The vehicle documents was found bogus.

On demand driver of the vehicle produced the import documents of vehicle registration book to Customs staff for examination.

Multan Customs Anti-Smuggling teams conducted verification of the registration number and they found that vehicle was non-customs paid.

Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization Multan car cell impounded the BMW under the Section 17 of the Customs Act 1969 with the approval of the competent authority. The value of seized vehicle Rs5.5 million and further investigations against said vehicle are still under way.
