Customs ASO recovers smuggled milk powder from M/s Popular Fruit Juices factory

KARACHI: Collectorate of Customs Preventive Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) raided M/s Popular Fruit Juices located in New Karachi commercial area and recovered huge quantity of Iran origin smuggled milk powder and chemical being used in making of juice.

Sources told that Collector Preventive Saquif Saeed received credible information that huge quantity of smuggled goods are dumped in the factory of M/s Popular Fruit Juices.

He immediately constituted an anti-smuggling squad under the supervision of Superintendent Iftikhar Hasan.

The anti-smuggling squad raided the premises of M/s Popular Fruit Juices and recovered 8 containers loaded with smuggled milk powder and two containers of chemical worth millions of rupees.

Sources told that the owner of the factory Jabbar Malik is arrested and further investigations are still underway till filing of this report.
