Quetta Customs,FC impound smuggled goods worth Rs80m from private warehouse

QUETTA: Collectorate of Customs Preventive team with the assistant of FC recovered huge quantity of smuggled goods from a warehouses located in Kuchlak area. The market value of smuggled goods is about Rs80 million.

Sources told that Collector Customs Preventive Irfan Javed received credible information that huge quantity non-duty paid goods are dumped in a private warehouse located in Kuchlak area.

He immediately directed Additional Collector Yasir Kalwar who constituted an anti-smuggling squad consisting Superintendent Tariq Sultan, Inspectors Shahzad Akhtar, Salahuddin Khoso and Arif Dotani to recover smuggled from the warehouse.

Sources told that these goods were to be transported to inner country through buses and trucks.

The seized goods include foreign origin cloth, auto parts, tea, tyres, cigarettes and two tractors.

Customs Preventive after registering a case of smuggling against the owner of warehouse started investigations.

It is necessary to mention here that Collector Irfan Javed directed to adopt zero tolerance policy against smuggling.
