Multan Adjudication settles 64 seizure cases worth Rs402.980m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office finalized 64 seizure cases involving Rs402.980 million during the month of November 2020-21.

Sources told Customs Today that Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office disposed 64 different cases forwarded by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation. Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in 64 seizure cases after completion of legal proceedings on the basis of presented facts.

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Multan Abdul Mueed Kanjoo settled almost 24 various seizure cases of worth Rs13.370 million throughout November after concluding legal proceedings.

Deputy collector settled all seizure cases in favour of Customs department except one seizure case for the duration of November. Almost 29 fresh seizure cases of Rs10.870 million have been added in the month of November in the Customs Adjudication.

Additional Collector Adjudication Sumaira Omer decided 12 various seizure cases of worth Rs.14.734 million throughout the month of November 2020-21.Additional Collector has settled all said seizure cases in the favor of Customs after observing facts during trial in November. Near about 12 new seizure cases of Rs.33.906 million were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication during November.

Collector Adjudication Asif Buzdar settled highest number of 29 different seizure cases of worth Rs1374.876 million for the duration of November. All these seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs department. These decided seizures were against violation of rule, smuggling, misuse of DTRE export facility cases and others.

As many as 22 different seizure cases of worth Rs502.806 million was added during said month for legal trial.
