ISLAMABAD: Adviser to Prime Minister for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood has said that Rs213 million for DLTL payments of non-Textile sector have been approved.
In a tweet on Wednesday, these payments are now with State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and will soon be disbursed to the relevant exporters.
He further said government’s policy is not to put any working capital constraints for our exporters.
Earlier, Pakistan s exports to the UK have exceeded $1 billion in the first 6 months of any financial year, for the first time in history.
Abdul Razzaq Dawood, trade adviser to Prime Minister Imran Khan said in a statement on twitter that Pakistan’s exports to the UK have crossed the $1 billion in the first 6 months of any Financial Year. For Jul-Dec 2020, the exports to UK grew by 21% to USD 1,029 million as compared to USD 852 million in Jul-Dec 2019.
He said that in Dec 2020, these exports grew by 47% to USD 189 million as compared to USD 129 million in Dec 2019.
Razzaq Dawood congratulated exporters for this achievement and encouraged them to make efforts to obtain a greater share of the market.
Adviser also commended the efforts of MOC s Trade Officers posted in the UK and urged them to work harder in finding opportunities for exporters and provide facilitation to Pakistani businessmen.
