Patron-in-Chief Zubair Motiwala, President Abdul Hadi, Ex-Presidents Jawed Bilwani, Saleem Parekh and Younus Bashir drew attention of MD SSGC towards complaints of zero pressure in SITE area and stated that to continue industrial production, industries need gas with required pressure which, unfortunately, is not being provided to SITE industries which is a big hurdle in industrial production.

“The Advisors of the Prime Minister had assured in meetings that unless industries are provided with required electricity load, their gas connection shall not be disconnected. However, contrary to it, the gas connections of a number of industries of SITE area have been disconnected which has badly effected industrial production. As such, the disconnected connections should be restored immediately and gas should be provided with required pressure so as to ensure timely shipments of export orders”, they pointed out.

MD SSGC Imran Maniar has assured the industrialists to resolve their issues on top priority basis. He said that he is well aware of the problems being faced by the industrial community. He also stressed the need to reduce line losses and extend cooperation to SSGC. In the meeting, it was decided to form a Working Group which will meet on monthly basis to discuss, analysis and suggest measures for resolution of gas related issues with mutual consent.
