Multan Customs impounds Toyota Fielder near Sher Shah Interchange

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization Car Cell impounded a smuggled vehicle Toyota Fielder of worth Rs.1.5 million in their action.

According to details, Multan Customs Collectorate Car cell received credible information that some smuggled vehicles are moving in the Multan region. Sources told Customs Today that said vehicle was entered into jurisdiction from Quetta and transported in the Jurisdiction through Taunsa route.

Deputy Collector Customs Muhammad Faizan Badar formed special team comprised of Inspector Ahmad Bin Sohail, Waqas Leghari and others to thwart any attempt of smuggling in the territory and also directed anti-smuggling squad to keep strict vigil on the movement of smuggled vehicles and other miscellaneous goods to prevent smuggling

Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization teams captured suspected vehicle Toyota Fielder of Model 2007 from Sher Shah Interchange. Customs staff asked owner of the foreign origin vehicle to produce documents for possession.

Drivers of the vehicle presented import documents of loaded to Customs staff on their demand. Customs found import GDs bogus after verification and taken said vehicle in their custody under Customs Act 1969. The value of seized goods was Rs1.5 million and duty taxes of Rs1.2 million. Further investigations against impounded vehicle are still under way.
