Multan I&I impounds smuggled generators near Muzaffargarh

MULTAN: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) seized non-duty paid generator which was loaded in a truck.

Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation received information from their source that smuggled generators will be transported from the jurisdiction. Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation alerted the field intelligence unit to thwart any attempt of smuggling.

Director Customs Intelligence Asad Abbas formed a special for search on a tip of informer and the custom team takes a thriving operation by seizing the generator in the locality of Muzaffargarh.

The worth of detained generator is approximately 2.5 million and the truck is Rs1.5 million. Customs intelligence has seized almost seven eight generators used in the commercial sector.

The total worth of seized generator, mini truck and cars is approximately Rs.4 Million. All the successful operation shown good planning of customs intelligence due to which they are seized and it is motivating factor for the custom department.  After detaining generators customs intelligence started investigation against the culprits for further proceeding.
