Multan Adjudication settles 46 seizure cases worth Rs194.415m during July

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed of 46 seizure cases involving Rs194.415 million during the month of July 2021-22.

The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed of 43 seizure cases framed by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation. Multan Customs Adjudication has disposed these seizure cases in July after completion of hearing.

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Multan Abdul Mueed Kanjoo settled 18 seizure cases worth Rs14.796 million throughout July after concluding legal proceedings. Deputy collector Abdul Mueed Kanjoo settled all seizure cases in the favour of Customs department after assessing presented evidences. Almost 13 various fresh seizure cases of Rs10.900 million have been added in the month of July in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office.

Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Sumaira Omer has decided 12 various seizure cases of worth Rs22.500 million throughout the month of July 2020-21.Additional Collector has settled all said seizure cases in the favor of Customs department after observing facts during trial in July. Near about 19 new seizure cases of Rs.40 million were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication during July 2021-22.

Collector Muhammad Nayyar Shafiq settled almost 16 different seizure cases of worth Rs.162.766 million for the duration of June. All these seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs department. Majority of these decided seizures were against violation of rule, smuggling, misuse of DTRE export facility cases, petroleum and others. As many as 24 different seizure cases of worth Rs. 527.738 million was added during said month for legal trial.
