ISLAMABAD: Collectorate of Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) seized Rs94 millions of smuggled goods and vehicles during the month of July 20-21.
According to details, the ASO have seized 9 non-duty paid vehicles worth Rs65 million while it seized 02 offending vehicles in value of Rs10 million.
Telling the further details of seized vehicles the Deputy Collector Jalal Zadhi informed Customs Today that ASO seized 1325 yards of cloth worth Rs2.5 million while the ASO seized 2000 sleeves of cigarettes worth Rs3.5 million as well as the ASO seized 286 kilogram of Indian origin Gutka in worth of Rs0.6 million.
The ASO also seized 384 kilogram of toiletries in value of Rs0.1 million whereas it seized miscellaneous smuggled goods in different cases in value of Rs12.45 million.
The Deputy Collector told that vigilance have been tighten within the jurisdiction of the MCC Islamabad and crackdown against the smugglers will be continued until trend of smuggled stopped.
