Multan Customs issues notice to Ayub Khan for recovery of outstanding tax amount

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement & Compliance (E&C) recovery branch has issued notice to defaulter for recovery of outstanding amount of Rs50,000/-.

According to details, M/s Muhammad Ayub Khan son of Akhtar Hussain has imported few goods and submitted almost Rs50,000/- by paying less duty taxes during the clearance of their import consignments from Multan Dry Port. The Collectorate has asked several times to clear the outstanding amount of duty and taxes.

But the said importer has not paid any remaining tax amount to Multan Customs Collectorate and Recovery branch of Multan has attached their bank accounts and immoveable properties to recover outstanding taxes in this regard. Multan Customs has started crackdown against defaulters for recovery of their outstanding amount from defaulter after serving final notice but said company has not responded to Customs notice.

Multan Customs Enforcement & Compliance (E& C) has issued recovery notice once again for the collection of outstanding taxes from M/s Muhammad Ayub Khan. Defaulter is resident of Basti Amanat Ali, Airport road Rahim Yar Khan. Said importer is using delaying tactics for depositing of them owes duty taxes from last few months. Therefore, Multan Customs has initiated stern action against the company to recover the outstanding dues from said company.

Superintendent Habib-ur-Rehman has been appointed attachment officer for recovery of outstanding amount under Customs Rules; 2001. The Multan Customs Enforcement & Compliance will also attach bank accounts and properties of defaulter for recovery under Section 202 of Customs Act, 1969. Said defaulter has been directed to pay the government dues within 15 days of this notice to avoid any unwanted situation.
