Multan RTO & I&I IR will organize awareness seminar on track and trace policy

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office (RTO) and Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Inland Revenue (I&I IR) has decided to organize awareness seminar with assistance of Business community on Track and Trace Policy.

Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Office Mazhar Hussain Bodhla has contacted Director Intelligence and Investigation Inland Revenue for organizing awareness seminar regarding track and trace policy. The Federal Board of Revenue education wing has directed RTO Multan and Directorate of Intelligence Inland Revenue about an awareness seminar organized with collaboration of Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Chief Commissioner Mazhar Hussain Bodhla has said that introducing the track and trace policy will help in discouraging the hoarders of essential goods and overcome crisis of goods and it will also generate more revenue as well.

He said that the implementation of the policy has been started with chipping the stickers and barcodes on sugar bags in the premises of sugar mills. However, he emphasized upon the mill owners and distributers to support the FBR efforts and personally monitor the pasting stickers and barcodes on their products in order to protect their business interests. The FBR is ready to extend full support to all stakeholders in this regard.
