Customs Appraisement lodges two FIRs against M/s S.F.H. Enterprises

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Appraisement Investigation and Prosecution (I&P) has registered two FIRs against M/s S.F.H Enterprises for attempting to clear banned items in the garb of miscellaneous electronics goods and mechanical items. If cleared, this would have caused a loss of Rs13.3 million to the national kitty.

Sources said that on the directives of Chief Collector l Faiz Ahmed, Collector Appraisement Mirza Mubashir Baig has directed his team to keep strict vigilance and monitoring to avoid incidents of mis-declaration and under-invoicing.

According to details, M/s S.F.H Enterprises imported two consignments and filed Transshipment Permit (TP) for Dry Port Mughalpura Lahore. The importer had declared the goods to be microphone wires, audio mixers, LED lights, speakers, soldering iron, screw drivers, submersible motors etc.

However, on examination several un-declared goods including auto parts, mainboard satellite receivers, chandelier and pyrotechnic fireworks.

Import of fireworks and satellite receivers are prohibited to be imported sans certain NOCs and permissions. S.F.H Enterprises, Lahore intentionally mis-declared the imported goods to hoodwink authorities and evade government revenue as well as clear banned items.
