Multan Customs impounds smuggled fuel from warehouse of M/s Bismillah Lubricant

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement has impounded 1.1 million liters of smuggled Iran origin petroleum products from the warehouse of M/s Bismillah Lubricant in Multan.

Sources said that information was received to Director-General Intelligence & Investigation (I&I) Abdul Rasheed Shaikh that an organized fuel smuggling network was operating from Gwadar to Multan.

Malik Shabbo has installed large fuel tanks at the said warehouse, where Iran origin fuel products were dumped for further distribution in Punjab. These large quantities of smuggled fuel were safely and freely transported from Gwadar to Multan.

Customs I&I team team comprising Assistant Director from Rawalpindi Rao Fahad, Assistant Director from Islamabad Muhammad Salik, Assistant Director from Multan Muhammad Ali, and Inspector Allah Ditta from Lahore.

The said team under the supervision of Director Multan Asif Abbas raided the warehouse and recovered 1.1 million liters of smuggled fuel products from 8 tanks at the warehouse.
