Multan Adjudication settles 167 seizure cases involving Rs3088.099m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has settled 167 seizure cases involving Rs3088.099 million during the month of April 2021-22.              

The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed of 167 seizure cases framed by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation. Multan Customs Adjudication has disposed these seizure cases after completion of hearing.

Deputy Collector settled 37 seizure cases worth Rs38.680 million throughout April after concluding legal proceedings. Deputy collector settled said seizure case in the favour of Customs department after assessing presented evidences. Almost 21 various fresh seizure cases of Rs.24.380 million have been added in the month of April in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office.                

Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Talib Hussain has decided 13 seizure cases  worth Rs26.766 million throughout the month of April 2021-22.Additional Collector has settled all said seizure cases in the favor of Customs department after observing facts during trial in April. Near about 14 new seizure cases of Rs.28.466 million were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication during April 2021-22.                

Collector Muhammad Nayyar Shafiq settled almost 87 different seizure cases of worth Rs.3022.653 million for the duration of April 2021-22. All these seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs department. Majority of these decided seizures were against violation of rule, smuggling, misuse of DTRE export facility cases, petroleum and others. As many as 9 different seizure cases of worth Rs.74.500 million were added during said month for legal trial.
