Multan Adjudication settles 61 seizure cases involving Rs228.393m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed 61 seizure cases involving Rs.228.393 million during the month of May 2021-22.               

The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed of 61 different seizure cases framed by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation during their various actions. Multan Customs Adjudication has disposed these seizure cases in May after completion of hearing. Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in the 61 various seizure cases after completion of legal proceedings on the basis of presented facts.

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Multan Aneeqa Afzal settled almost 42 seizure cases of worth Rs35.260 million throughout May after concluding legal proceedings. Deputy collector settled said seizure case in the favour of Customs department after assessing presented evidences. Almost 16 various fresh seizure cases of Rs10.210 million have been added in the month of May in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office.                 

Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Talib Hussain has decided only five various seizure cases of worth Rs.11.700 million throughout the month of May 2021-22. Additional Collector has settled all said seizure cases in the favor of Customs department after observing facts during trial in May. Near about 5 new seizure cases of Rs.10.210 million were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication during May 2021-22.                 

Collector Muhammad Nayyar Shafiq settled almost 14 different seizure cases of worth Rs.181.433 million for the duration of May 2021-22. All these seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs department. Majority of these decided seizures were against violation of rule, smuggling, misuse of DTRE export facility cases, petroleum and others. As many as 10 different seizure cases of worth Rs.117.733 million were added during said month for legal trial.
