FBR transfers Abdul Rashid Sheikh, Faiz Ahmad & Rubab Sikandar with immediate effect

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued notification for transfers and postings of following officials of Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) with immediate effect and until further orders:

1,            Abdul Rshid Sheikh BS-21 Director-General, Directorate General of Intelligence and Investigation, FBR is transferred and posted as Director-General, Directorate-General of IPR (Enforcement) Islamabad.

2.            Faiz Ahmad, BS-21, Chief Collector of Customs Appraisement (Central) Lahore is transferred and posted as Director-General, Directorate-General of Intelligence and Investigation, FBR, Islamabad.

3.            Ms. Rabab Sikandar BS-21, Director-General, Directorate General of IPR (Enforcement} Stationed at Lahore is transferred and posted as Chief Collector of Customs Appraisement Central, Lahore.

The officers who are drawing performance allowance prior to issuance of this notification shall continue to draw this allowance on the new place of posting.

The above mentioned officers are requested to send charge relinquishment/assumption to FBR immediately after relinquishment/assumption of charge for record and further necessary action.

It is necessary to mention here that during his tenure as Chief Collector Lahore Faiz Ahmad has tightened the noose around smugglers and accelerated anti-smuggling operation in Punjab to eradicate this menace from the region. Due to Covid-19, lots of importers are trying to ‘smuggle’ face masks like N95, KN95 to get benefit of the crisis situation but Faiz Ahmad is fully committed to give a huge dent to these efforts in Central Region and airports of Punjab.

Due to strict orders by Chief Collector Faiz Ahmad, the Central Region team foiled major smuggling attempts in Punjab. Customs staff is fully active and working with full commitment under daring leadership of Mr Faiz Ahmad.

Rabab Sikandar is the wife of the incumbent chief election commissioner (CEC).

Rabab Sikandar, a Grade-21 civil servant, belongs to a family of bureaucrats. She was transferred as DG Directorate General Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and appointed as Chief Collector Customs Appraisement Central Lahore.

Earlier, she was promoted to Grade 21 on her turn during the PTI government. She was inducted into the civil service in the Customs Department after she secured the 7th position in the competitive examination.
