MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed 34 seizure cases involving Rs67.392 million during the month of July 2022-23.
The Collectorate has disposed 34 seizure cases framed by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation during their various actions. Multan Customs Adjudication has disposed these seizure cases in July after completion of hearing. Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in the 32 seizure cases after completion of legal proceedings on the basis of presented facts.
Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Multan Aneeqa Afzal settled almost 25 various seizure cases of worth Rs14.085 million throughout first month of the economic year 2022-23 July after finishing legal proceedings. Deputy collector settled said seizure case in the favour of Customs department after assessing presented evidences. Almost 17 various fresh seizure cases of Rs.11.745 million have been added in the month of July in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office.
Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Talib Hussain has decided 4 various seizure cases of worth Rs.9.050 million throughout the month of July 2022-23. Additional Collector has settled 4 seizure cases in the favor of Customs department after witnessing facts during trial in June. Near about 6 cases of almost Rs.19.60 million new seizure cases were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication during July 2022-23.
Collector Muhammad Nayyar Shafiq settled 5 different seizure cases of worth Rs.44.257 million for the duration of July 2022-23. All these seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs department. Majority of these decided seizures were against violation of rule, smuggling, misuse of DTRE export facility cases, petroleum and others. As many as five different seizure cases of worth Rs.40.457 million were added during said month for legal trial.
