Multan Enforcement seizes goods, vehicles worth Rs157.26m during different operations

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement has seized non-customs d vehicles and miscellaneous goods worth Rs157.26 million during various anti-smuggling actions in July 2022-23.       

Sources told Customs Today that Multan Customs Collectorate has carried out crackdowns against smuggled goods to curtail smuggling in the jurisdiction during July. Multan Customs Anti-Smuggling staff has thwarted several attempts of smuggling in the Jurisdiction on the basis of credible information against smuggling. Multan Customs Anti-Smuggling organization has enhanced the patrolling of the suspected routes to intercept the non-customs paid (NCP) vehicles. Anti-Smuggling squad of Multan Customs Collectorate has enhanced vigilance of suspected routes on the special directions of Collector Tahir Ali to thwart any attempt of smuggling. The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has alerted few crucial strategic routes to intercept any smuggling attempt.

Anti-Smuggling Organization has impounded 5 smuggled vehicles of worth Rs12.53 million in the month of July. The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has seized non-customs duty paid vehicles which includes Toyota Vitz, Honda Civic, Land Cruiser, Toyota Premio and other in their various crackdowns. All impounded vehicles were found non-duty paid and non-tampered during verification.       

Multan Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization has detected various seizure cases of High-Speed Diesel, plastic bags, betel nuts, Skimmed milk, tyres, cigarettes and others of almost worth Rs.145 million during their aggressive crackdowns in the region during July 2022-23.

These impounded vehicles and goods were intercepted from Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sadiqabad regions during crackdown of Anti-Smuggling Organization in the month of July 2022-23.
