KUWAIT CITY: Kuwaiti Customs countered two to three cases of stealing recently which has forced the Customs to discard the tradition of Wasta.
Two juveniles were arrested for stealing an electric generator from a camp in Salmi desert. According to security sources, Jahra security men were patrolling Saad Al-Abdullah area when they stopped a tinted vehicle for checking.
Noticing the nervousness of the two juveniles in the vehicle, security men checked the vehicle and found an electric generator. The suspects confessed that they stole it from a camp in Salmi area.
They were arrested and referred with the generator to the concerned authorities. Meanwhile, Jahra security men also arrested three Asian expatriates for stealing iron from a building under construction. They were referred with the stolen iron to the concerned authorities for further investigations.
