Collector Muhammad Tahir assures to resolve issues of businessmen

MULTAN: President of Multan Chamber of Small Traders and Industry Sheikh Faisal Saeed met Collector Customs Multan Muhammad Tahir in which matters related to customs of traders and small industrialists were discussed.

According to details, Business community was facing serious issues regarding Customs department and Multan Customs Enforcement Collector Muhammad Tahir was approached through Small Chamber of Traders and Industry Multan. Collector Multan Customs Muhammad Tahir invited them in his office for resolv he stated that the business community is facing the problem of unnecessary delay in opening Letters of Credit (LCs) for the import of raw materials.

Sheikh Faisal Saeed said that due to the delay in LCs opening, several industries including food, pharmaceuticals, steel, automobiles, telecom, home appliances and others are facing a shortage of raw materials for manufacturing activities. He mentioned that the government had earlier announced to lift the ban on imports. However, the business community is still facing a delay in opening LCs for various items including machinery and equipment. ing their genuine issues.

On this occasion, Sheikh Faisal Saeed also pointed out the vital problems regarding Customs to business community and harrasSment of Anti-smuggling Organization , on which Customs Collector Muhammad Tahir assured to solve these problems as soon as possible, while Sheikh Faisal Saeed said that through inter-connection and good coordination of institutions. Only entrepreneurs and small scale industries can find a better solution to their problems. All the efforts and abilities are being utilized in this regard, their fruits will be revealed soon.
