Customs ASO seizes smuggled goods and vehicle worth Rs30m

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Anti-Smuggling Organization has seized huge quantity of smuggled goods from a Mazda truck.

Sources told Customs Today after receiving credible information Customs anti-smuggling squad intercepted a Mazda truck containing huge quantity of smuggled cloth, tyres, locks etc.  The goods belong to transportation company M/s Five Star.

The operation was conducted at Kala Shah Kaku Lahore.The approximate value of detained goods and vehicle is Rs. 30 million.

Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Chaudary, Chief Collectorate (Central) has appreciated the efforts of Mr. Mohsin Rafiq, Collector, Ms. Aneeqa Afzal, Additional Collector, Ali Mohtashim Minhas DC Customs and their team for putting in extraordinary effort and directed them to continue with their crackdown against smuggled goods with the same zeal.

It is necessary to mention here that Chief Collector Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhary has directed all anti-smuggling squads that anyone who found involved in smuggling should be dealt as per law.
