DG I&I Faiz Ahmad recovers smuggled goods & vehicles worth Rs200m during last three days

LAHORE: Following the vision and meticulous directions of Faiz Ahmad Chadher, Director General Customs Intelligence & Investigation, Islamabad, the Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation-Customs, Regional Office, Lahore during the past three days of June 2023 conducted successful operations on difference tip offs and seized huge quantities of smuggled / non-duty paid goods and tampered cars and heavy bikes from the different areas of the Directorate’s jurisdiction.

The value of seized goods and vehicles is approximately Rs200 million.

The detail of seized goods is as under:

i.)            Iron Sheets, 181,930 kgs,

ii.)           Cigarettes 2682 Danda (536400 Cigarettes),

iii.)          Betel nuts, 450 kgs,

iv.)          Almonds, 1383.4 kgs

v.)           Cashew Nuts, 640 kgs

vi.)          Cloths, 1380 kgs

vii.)         Gutkha, 13.42 kgs

viii.)        Tobacco (Ratna), 17 kgs

ix.)          Filter Khaini (Chewing Tobacco), 33.86 kgs

Moreover, the detail of seized vehicles / heavy bike is as under

i)             Toyota Aqua, Model 2013

ii)            Honda Civic, Model 2006

iii)           Toyota Prius, Model 2009

iv)           Toyota Surf, Model 1998 

v)            Toyota Land Cruiser, Model 2010

vi)           Suzuki Swift, Model 2006

vii)          Honda Accord, Model, 2002

viii)         Heavy bike Harley Davidson, Model 2014

it is necessary to mention here that Director-General Faiz Ahmad directed all anti-smuggling squads to adopt zero tolerance policy against smuggling.
