KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will remain closed on Monday (July 3) for public as banks will observe a holiday on this day.
According to a notification, all banks will remain closed for public dealing on this date. However, all the employees of the financial institutions will attend the offices.
The decision is taken on account of the new fiscal year beginning from July 1. As the third day of Eidul Azha falls on this day so the holiday is moved to July 3.
According to the new notification, all the banks will now observe five days of closure for the public from Wednesday to Sunday.
