Collector Imran Bokhari’s Khuzdar Customs recovers hashish worth Rs19.5m

KHUZDAR: Under the supervision of Collector Imran Bokhari, Collectorate of Customs anti-smuggling squad recovered fine quality hashish which was dumped in Wahir Village near Wadh area of Khuzdar. The market value of recovered hashish is Rs19.5 million in international market.

Sources told Customs Today that Collector Imran Bokhari received credible information that huge quantity of fine quality hashish is dumped in Wahir village. He immediately constituted an anti-smuggling squad under the supervision of Additional Collector Sajid Baloch. The anti-smuggling squad raided a dumping point near Wadh area and recovered 38 kilograms of fine quality hashish.

Earlier, on September 15, 2023 under the supervision of Collector Imran Bokhari, Collectorate of Customs anti-smuggling squad thwarted attempts to smuggle 118 Metric Tons of sugar which values 19.35 million rupees.

During on-going drive against smuggling, Khuzdar Customs has impounded 6 non duty paid vehicles through strict vigilance at all of its check-posts valuing Rs40 million.

It is also necessary to mention here that Collector Imran Bokhari using all available resources to curb smuggling in the jurisdiction. Collector Imran Bokhari directed all anti-smuggling squads to adopt zero tolerance policy against smuggling. He further directed that anyone who found involved in smuggling should be dealt with iron hands and as per law.

Due to comprehensive strategy adopted by Collector Imran Bokhari there is marginable decrease is being witnessed in smuggling attempts in the region.
