Karachi I&I impounds smuggled goods & vehicles worth Rs1.116b in Oct

KARACHI: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) seized smuggled goods and impounded non-duty paid worth Rs1.116 billion during the month of October,2023.

During the month of September 2023, the Customs Intelligence team in Karachi seized smuggled goods valued at a staggering Rs1.104 billion. This achievement, made possible through rigorous planning and cooperation with various law enforcement agencies, underscores the Directorate’s commitment to maintaining law and order.

It is necessary to mention here that Director-General Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) directed to adopt zero tolerance policy against smuggling. He directed that anyone who found involved in smuggling should be dealt as per law.

Pakistan Customs is also enhanced monitoring at the border areas of the country, while anti-smuggling squads are patrolling and vigilance round the clock.
