QUETTA: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) conducted successful Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs) and seized smuggled goods worth Rs78 million in international market.
Sources told Customs Today that in one operation, a truck transporting smuggled Chinese salt and betel nuts, valued atRs13.18 million, was intercepted loaded with smuggled goods.
In another operation targeted the illegal transportation of cigarettes, rolling paper, and a vehicle, with the combined value of goods and the vehicle amounting to Rs18.8 million. Additionally, a separate seizure involved Betel nut valued at Rs19.5 million.
Further enhancing the crackdown on smuggling activities, the Directorate seized smuggled milk powder, human hair, and tires with a cumulative value of Rs20.1 million.
The total value of the seizures conducted by the Regional Directorate Quetta stands at an impressive Rs78 million.
