COAS General Asim Munir pledges continued support for sustainable economic growth

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir has reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s commitment to supporting sustainable economic recovery.

The statement came during a Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) meeting chaired by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar, attended by top military officials, caretaker ministers, chief ministers, and relevant senior officials.

The meeting, as per its declaration, focused on advancing strategic partnerships with friendly nations. The Apex Committee of Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) emphasized the swift implementation of various projects under its initiative, urging all stakeholders to work towards achieving long-term economic benefits.

Detailed briefings were provided on measures taken to facilitate the timely attainment of set goals by various ministries, with progress in promoting investments deemed satisfactory.

Among the key discussions during the council meeting were investment projects in the country’s oil and gas sector and the ongoing privatization efforts targeting financially struggling government institutions.

In a noteworthy highlight, the Army Chief reiterated the Pakistan Army’s full commitment to supporting sustainable economic recovery, emphasizing the military’s role in the country’s economic revitalization efforts.
