The FIA accused the FC officials of interfering in the immigration process. They say that the FC staff continued interference despite stopping from doing the same. After a fight, the FIA closed down the immigration counter in protest. However, FC officials say that they were fulfilling the responsibilities of performing security duties. They say that the FC men were keeping an eye on passengers to ensure the security of the border.

According to the media reports, several people intending to go to Afghanistan on foot were stuck due to the closure of the crossing following a clash between FC and FIA officials.
