By enhancing educational infrastructure and resources, the World Bank hopes to significantly reduce the number of out-of-school children in the region.

This development follows the World Bank’s recent approval of a $1 billion loan for the Dasu Dam project.

The Dasu Dam funding marks the largest financial support provided by the World Bank to any project in Pakistan.

It is intended to advance environmentally friendly and cost-effective hydropower generation.

This financing package is a blend of concessional loans from the International Development Association (IDA) and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).
