Sargodha Customs impounds smuggled & contraband goods worth Rs6.75b

SARGODHA: Under the supervision of Member Customs Operations Ashhad Jawwad and Chief Collector of Customs Enforcement Rubab Sikandar, Collector of Customs Enforcement Syed Ali Abbas Gardezi and his team seized smuggled and contraband goods worth Rs6.75 billion in FY 2023-24.

Among seized goods were smuggled cigarettes worth Rs794 million, non-duty paid vehicles worth Rs556 million, smuggled items worth Rs521 million, diesel worth Rs442 millions, smuggled fabric worth Rs359 million, miscellaneous goods worth Rs473 million, smuggled electronic items worth Rs326 million, betel nuts worth Rs298 million, smuggled tyres worth Rs247 million, vehicles U/S 157 worth Rs2.5 billion and others goods.
