FBR suspends Deputy Collector Jawad-ul-Hasan for 120 days over ‘choice posting’ irregularities

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has suspended Jawad-ul-Hassan an officer of the Pakistan Customs Services (PCS) BS-18 with immediate effect.

According to the FBR notification, he currently posted as Deputy Collector at the Collectorate of Customs Enforcement in Dera Ismail Khan, will remain suspended for 120 days.

The move comes after Jawad-ul-Hassan was found to have violated directions issued by the Chairman FBR / Secretary Revenue Division regarding extraneous influence for “choice posting”, the Competent Authority, in exercise of powers conferred under Rule 5(1) of the Civil Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 2020.
