Govt fixes new RLNG prices for January

ISLAMABAD: The government has announced new prices for regasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) for January, with the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority issuing a notification regarding the updated rates.

According to the notification, there is a price reduction for the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines while the Sui Southern Gas Company would see an increase in prices. The RLNG price for SNGPL has been set at $12.66 per MMBtu while for SSGCL, the price is $12.60 per MMBtu.

In December, the RLNG price for SNGPL was $12.89 per MMBtu and for SSGCL, it was $12.54 per MMBtu.

The federal government increased the petrol and diesel prices on the eve of New Year. As part of the fortnightly revision, the petrol price was increased by 56 paisa per litre to Rs258.66 and high-speed diesel by Rs2.96/litre to Rs258.34.

Pakistan’s fuel rates are determined by a pricing formula approved by the government.
