LAHORE: Under the supervision of Collector, Mohammad Saeed Wattoo, Collectorate of Customs Enforcement team recovered huge quantity non-duty paid items worth Rs648 million from Shah Alam Market, Lahore.
Sources told Customs Today that after receiving credible information about presence of non-duty paid, Customs Enforcement anti-smuggling squad seized 1154 non-duty paid cigarettes, 67 seesha flavours, 90 kilograms of gutka, 55 kilograms Ratna.
Later, customs anti-smuggling squad transported all the recovered goods to customs warehouse.
It is necessary to mention here that Chief Collecor Enforcement Basit Maqsood Abbasi directed to adopt zero tolerance policy against smuggling.
He further directed that anyone who found involved in smuggling of goods should be dealt with iron hands.
Further investigation was underway.
