TDAP Lahore hosts US Consul General Kristin K Hawkins

LAHORE: The Trade and Development Authority of Punjab (TDAP) Lahore hosted United States Consul General, Kristin K. Hawkins.

It said in a statement, “TDAP Lahore had the honor of welcoming HE Kristin K. Hawkins, Consul General of the United States of America. She was warmly received by Mr Faiz Ahmad, Chief Executive TDAP, and Ms Rafia Syed, Director General Punjab/Services Division.”

The discussion focused on enhancing bilateral trade and investment, with key areas of collaboration suggested by TDAP including: Tourism, IT and e-commerce services, logistics, and construction, workforce development to strengthen capacity for the US market, agricultural exports, particularly in seed development and trade and last but not the least is facilitating visas for Pakistani exhibitors participating in US-based trade shows

DG Punjab/Services also outlined TDAP’s ongoing trade promotion initiatives which involved inviting US businesses to participate in key flagship events such as: FoodAg Manufacturing Show, Healthcare, Engineering & Minerals Show (HEMS) and Pakistan IT-enabled exports startups (PIXS) competition.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening trade ties and fostering future collaboration. As a gesture of appreciation, CE TDAP and DG Punjab presented the Consul General with a traditional ethnic shawl and a porcelain tile featuring Lahore’s iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site, Badshahi Mosque.
