The sources also said that the collector will issue ONO against the PTCL before January 15.

Two ONOs have already been issued against the PTCL in its alleged involvement in tax evasion through import of telecommunication equipments by taking undue advantage of SRO-575.

The first ONO against PTCL was issued in the start of 2014 by Customs Adjudication-I Collector Shahinshah Hasnain while the second ONO was issued in the middle of 2014 by Customs Adjudication-II Collector Dr Ahmed Mujtaba Memon.

Two cases were lodged by the Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation-FBR Karachi, MCC Appraisement-East and the third one was registered by the MCC Appraisement-West, which is recently in the Collectorate of Customs Adjudication-I.

The Pakistan Customs has already recovered millions of rupees from the PTCL.
