MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs team deputed at Multan Airport intercepted a passenger arriving from Dubai and seized 10 brand-new iPhone 16 Pro Max devices, valued at Rs5 million.
Acting on a tip-off, Collector Punjab Tayyaba Kiani, instructed Deputy Collector Airport, Ahmed Zaheer, to take immediate action. The passenger, traveling on Fly Dubai’s flight from Dubai to Multan, was thoroughly searched, leading to the discovery of the concealed high-end smartphones.
Customs officials promptly seized the smuggled phones under the Customs Act 1969 and launched legal proceedings against the suspect.
This high-impact operation is part of Multan Customs’ relentless efforts to combat illegal trade and smuggling networks. Officials reiterated their unwavering commitment to protecting Pakistan’s economy, vowing to intensify their crackdown with even greater determination and vigilance.
