MULTAN: The FBR Employees Welfare Union (All Pakistan) has written a formal letter to Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, seeking restoration of the long-frozen performance allowance for non-cadre officers and staff across the country. The union has also requested an appointment for a meeting to present a detailed memorandum regarding their demands.
In the letter, signed by Chairman of the Central Executive Committee Tahir Khakwani, President Qari Nasir Rawan, Senior Vice Chairman Malik Irfan Shahid, Secretary General Malik Zafar Joya, Vice President (Legal) Aftab Awan, and Information Secretary Mansha Ranjha, the union urged the Senate Chairman to take immediate notice of the disparity in financial treatment between cadre and non-cadre employees.
The union reminded Gilani of his earlier intervention as Prime Minister of Pakistan, when all FBR allowances were reinstated. “Once again, thousands of non-cadre FBR employees nationwide are facing financial injustice due to the suspension of performance allowances,” the letter stated.
According to the union, the government’s financial packages and incentives remain exclusive to cadre service officers and employees, leaving non-cadre staff marginalized and economically exploited.
The union has called for equal financial and economic treatment for all FBR personnel, regardless of their service classification, and requested an audience with the Senate Chairman to discuss the matter in detail and submit a formal memorandum for redressal.
