Chinese company to install charging points for EVs across Sindh

ISLAMABAD: A Chinese company has expressed its willingness to install charging points for electric vehicles (EVs) throughout Sindh. An EV charging station will be established every 50 kilometers in all districts of the province.

During a visit to the Cherry Holdings Group headquarters in China, Sindh’s Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon and Nasir Shah were warmly welcomed by Chairman N.Togyo.

Sharjeel Memon stated that the installation of EV charging stations will greatly benefit owners of EV motorcycles and cars. He emphasized that the transport system in Sindh is undergoing modernization, and the vision is to promote environmentally friendly EVs.

The Cherry Holdings Group has assured that they will set up EV charging stations across Sindh.

Sharjeel mentioned that the establishment of these stations will create job opportunities for the local population. Additionally, an EV mini-truck assembly plant is being set up in Karachi, which will provide employment to locals and make EVs available at affordable prices.

Nasir Shah assured cooperation on solar energy projects, stating that household solarization will help reduce the energy crisis. This initiative will be a significant milestone in promoting green energy.
