Undeclared wheat stocks revealed in Punjab

LAHORE: Details of undeclared wheat stocks in Punjab have been revealed, according to media reports.

Punjab feed mills revealed to have 124,000 metric tons of undeclared wheat.

The highest stock of 25,193 metric tons of wheat was found in Nankana Sahib while 14,387 metric tons in Okara and 11,665 metric tons in Multan were found hidden whereas 11,385 metric tons of wheat were not disclosed to the government in Lahore.

According a report, more than 7,000 wheat stocks were hidden in Rahim Yar Khan.

The hidden stocks of feed mills were not disclosed in government records.

Earlier, the IB, Special Branch and FIA have also submitted reports to the government.

Sources said that if the stored wheat comes to the market, the crisis may reduce. The Punjab government will take control of the undeclared wheat.
