Weekly inflation decreases by 0.2pc

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported that the weekly inflation in the country has decreased by 0.2 per cent.

According to details, the prices of 22 items have been increased in a week. The prices of onions, tomatoes, potatoes, rice, eggs and sugar have witnessed surge in a week. Meanwhile, the prices of dal moong, dal mash, LPG, wood, clothes have also been increased.

The price of onions increased by 12.17 per cent, while the price of tomatoes surged by 10.47. The prices of potatoes, rice, eggs have been increased by 3.57%, 1.63% and 1.52%, respectively.

Moreover, the prices of four items have been reduced. The price of flour has been dropped by 9.80%, while the price of the chicken has been reduced by 3.20%.

The prices of 25 items remained stable, while the prices of tomatoes, sugar, and flour have been increased by 90%, 29%, and 18.65%, respectively, on an annual basis.
