Customs Court orders restraint on coercive action against A.N. Pipe Industries

KARACHI: A bench of the Sindh High Court (SHC) has issued an order preventing the Collector of Customs Appraisement, East, and the Additional Collector (Facilitation Mechanism) from taking any coercive action against A.N. Pipe Industries, Lahore. This order will remain in effect until the next hearing, scheduled for 16th October 2025.

At the hearing, Imran Iqbal Khan, the lawyer for the petitioner, A.N. Pipe Industries, explained that the company’s goods had already been inspected, classified as Prime Hot Rolled Steel Sheets in Coils, and cleared for release.

The court listened to the argument and decided to issue notices to the relevant authorities, including the Deputy Attorney General for Pakistan, with a further hearing set for 16th October 2025.
