Karachi Enforcement foils attempt to smuggle diesel via sea route

KARACHI: The Marine Unit of the Collectorate of Customs (Enforcement), Karachi has successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle Iranian-origin High-Speed Diesel (HSD) through the sea route near Hajamoro Creek, located in the Eastern Sector, Keti Bunder.

In a well-coordinated operation, Customs Enforcement teams intercepted and seized two wooden launches, Al-Qambar (Registration No. BFD-16211) – carrying 19,245 liters of HSD and Al-Shaeq (Registration No. BFD-11385) – carrying 12,365 liters of HSD, loaded with smuggled fuel. This operation underscores the Enforcement Collectorate’s firm commitment illegal activities in Pakistan’s A total of 31,610 liters of High-Speed Diesel, along with the wooden vessels, valued at approximately Rs. 22 million, were taken into custody.
