Despite its dominant position, the POL sector posted a 9.1% decline in customs duty collection, though it still represented 22.7% of the total. The vehicle sector was the second-largest contributor, accounting for 13.4% of customs duty and driving 41.1% of the overall increase in collections.

FBR data further showed that customs duty growth closely aligned with the value of dutiable imports. The authority emphasized that duty collection trends reflect the import composition and underscore the government’s reliance on high-value imports to meet fiscal targets.
