Quetta Customs seizes smuggled goods worth Rs138m

QUETTA: In a significant anti-smuggling operation, the Mobile Squad of Customs Enforcement Quetta has seized a substantial quantity of smuggled goods worth Rs 138 million.

Acting on credible information provided by the Chief Collector Enforcement Islamabad, Customs team raided a warehouse on the outskirts of Quetta with the support of other law enforcement agencies.

During the raid, a substantial quantity of smuggled goods including assorted cloth, tyres, cigarettes, sheesha flavours, cashew nuts, and human hair worth an estimated Rs. 138 million was successfully recovered and seized.

All seized goods have been taken into official custody, and legal proceedings under the Customs Act, 1969 have been initiated.

This operation is part of the Collectorate’s intensified crackdown against smuggling networks and illicit trade activities in the region.

FBR has commended the Quetta Enforcement team for its effective action and reaffirmed its firm resolve to eliminate smuggling and illegal trade across the country.
