ICCI hosts Google Cloud DevFest 2025

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) on Saturday organized Google Cloud DevFest 2025, aimed at to IT development and tech-driven entrepreneurship across the country.

Senior Vice President ICCI, while addressing Google Cloud DevFest 2025 emphasized that technology, innovation, and digital transformation are rapidly emerging as key drivers of Pakistan’s economic future.

He termed the hosting of DevFest at ICCI a proud moment for the Chamber, reflecting its growing role in promoting the digital and knowledge economy.

The Senior Vice President highlighted that cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and automation are reshaping global economies, and Pakistan must proactively invest in digital capabilities to remain competitive at the international level.

He stressed that technology is not confined to the IT sector alone but acts as a powerful enabler across all industries, including agriculture, manufacturing, retail, logistics, and finance, helping businesses enhance efficiency, scalability, and sustainability.

Reaffirming ICCI’s commitment, he stated that the Chamber will continue to promote IT development, support digital innovation, and encourage tech-driven entrepreneurship through skills development initiatives and strategic partnerships.

He urged developers and students to fully capitalize on the knowledge-sharing and networking opportunities offered by DevFest, noting that such platforms play a vital role in nurturing future innovators and strengthening Pakistan’s digital economy.

He appreciated the dedicated efforts of Dr. Muhammad Usman, Convener ICCI Software Development Committee, and Aizaz Mohammad, Convener CCI IT, Telecom and Computer Hardware Committee, for successfully organizing the event.

He also acknowledged the valuable partnership of Google Developer Group – Cloud Islamabad for bringing global-level learning opportunities to developers, professionals, students, and the business community.

During the day-long event, experts delivered insightful lectures on a wide range of contemporary topics, including effective communication in today’s digital era, the use of AI to accelerate innovation, breaking down organizational silos through unified AI platforms, and the development of secure, agent-oriented, and specification-driven AI systems.

Participants, particularly young developers and students, described the DevFest as highly informative and thought-provoking, expressing confidence that such initiatives would empower them to move forward with AI-driven technologies and contribute meaningfully to national development.
