Quetta Customs seizes smuggled goods worth Rs226.315m

QUETTA: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Quetta, in a successful Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO), conducted with the assistance of 78 Wing FC (North) Balochistan, seized a large consignment of smuggled goods valued at approximately Rs226.315 million.

The operation underscores the Collectorate’s continued crackdown against smuggling and illegal trade.

The seized items include 53,180 kilograms of betel nuts, 180 bags of Chinese salt, 251 bags of plastic grains (dana), 30 generator dynamos, 1,600 kilograms of ladies’ and gents’ cloth and two passenger buses.

The operation was carried out on the basis of credible intelligence reflecting effective inter-agency coordination. The timely support of 78 Wing FC (North) Balochistan proved instrumental in the successful execution of the operation.

The FBR reiterates its unwavering commitment to safeguard the national economy by maintaining strict enforcement against smuggling and illegal trade in close coordination with the law enforcement agencies.
