KPRA records 30pc growth in sales tax on services in 1H FY2025-26

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) has achieved a 30% increase in Sales Tax on Services during the first half of FY2025-26, collecting Rs23.2RA records 30pc growth in sales tax on services in 1H FY2025-266 billion from July to December, up from Rs17.92 billion in the same period last year.

The Rs5.34 billion growth reflects a sustained improvement in tax compliance across the province’s service sector.

Overall, KPRA’s total revenue for the first six months stood at Rs26.62 billion, including Rs3.36 billion from the Infrastructure Development Cess (IDC), compared to Rs23.81 billion last year (Rs17.92 billion from services tax and Rs5.89 billion from IDC).

Director General KPRA, Fouzia Iqbal, credited the achievement to effective planning, consistent enforcement, and institutional dedication. “The growth in Sales Tax on Services highlights the strategic approach and hard work of the KPRA team,” she said, emphasizing that continued focus will help meetannual revenue targets.

She also thanked taxpayers for their cooperation and acknowledged the support of Khyber Pukhtonkhwa government for extending full support.
