LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has made it mandatory for officers seeking promotion to submit asset declarations along with performance evaluation reports before the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting.

The directive applies to Grade 17-18 officers of the Pakistan Customs Service who are in the promotion zone for advancement to the next grade. The FBR has scheduled the DPC meeting soon to consider these promotions.

Officers are required to declare all assets held up to June 30, 2025, and submit their performance evaluation reports by January 16, 2026. Compliance with this requirement is essential for consideration for promotion.

According to FBR officials, the asset declaration ensures transparency by documenting officers’ wealth and income sources, while performance reports help the DPC evaluate their suitability for higher responsibilities.

Failure to meet the deadline may result in delays in promotion cases, as the committee will review all submissions before making recommendations.
