Pakistan’s exports to US increase by 5.26pc in 1HFY2026

KARACHI: Pakistan’s export of goods and services to the United States (US) witnessed an increase of 5.26 percent during the first half of the fiscal year (2025-26) as compared to the exports of the corresponding half of last year, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported.

The overall exports to the US were recorded at US $3.177 billion during July-December (2025-26) against exports of US $3.018 billion during July-December (2024-25), SBP data revealed.

On a year-to-year basis, the exports to the US increased to $537.559 million in December 2025 against the export of $504.588 million in December 2024.

Meanwhile, on a month-on-month basis, the exports to the US witnessed an increase of 19.07 percent during December 2025 as compared to the exports of $451.448 million in November 2025, the SBP data revealed.

Overall Pakistan’s exports to other countries witnessed a decrease of 4.97 percent during the first half under review, from US $16.319 billion to US $15.507 billion, the SBP data revealed.

On the other hand, the imports from the US into the country during the months under review were recorded at US $1.359 billion against US $1.080 billion last year, showing an increase of 25.83 percent in July-December (2025-26).

On a year-on-year basis, the imports for the US also increased to US $437.813 million in December 2025, against the export of US $185.170 million in December 2024.

On a month-on-month basis, the imports from the US into the country went up by 57.24 percent during December 2025, as compared to the imports of US $278.424 million during November 2025, according to the data.

The overall imports into the country witnessed an increase of 12.26 per cent, from $27.902 billion to US $31.325 billion, according to the data.
